Course outline

What is the course about?

To practise and improve the four skills of speaking, writing, listening and reading and to polish up on grammar points; to develop creativity in French.

What topics will we cover?

An approach to French and Francophone literature and culture, working with films, newspapers, magazines, literature, cultural and current issues.

By the end of this course you should be able to:

What level is the course?

Students should have a knowledge of the language and its grammar and be able to demonstrate both written and oral fluency. They should have studied French for more than 5 years.

How will I be taught?

Communicative approach based on students' participation through a variety of activities. There will also be grammar exercises.

Are there any other costs (e.g. certification, materials, equipment or books I need to buy)?

Based on the tutor's own material.

What feedback will I get?

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.

Will I have a chance to give my views on the course?
